The exhibition

WasTe and SaniTech India 2016, an initiative by UBM India, India’s leading exhibition organiser, successfully concluded on 19th August at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The three day trade expo ( 17th – 19th August ) was inaugurated by Shri. P.K. Gupta, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Shri. V.K. Madhavan, Chief Executive Water Aid India and Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India, amidst an august industry gathering.

Empowered by The Ministry of Urban Development ( MoUD ), Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), WasTe And SaniTech India 2016 was supported by MRAI - Metal Recycling Association of India, IPCA – Indian Pollution Control Association, IBA – Indian Bio Gas Association, AIPIA - All India Plastics Industries Association, NGO partners: Sulabh International and Toxic Link, Sanitation Partner: WaterAid and Knowledge Partner: The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI ) and Associate Partner – 3S India. 

Bringing together manufacturers and technology providing companies, the expo had key participating exhibitors including States such as Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, Municipal corporations such as Swachh Andhra Corporation, Municipal Corporation Delhi- East (MCD) and companies such as MRT Systems, Dhara Groups, Bharti Hygiene, Frontier Polymer, Rashtriya Furnace amongst others. The expo also was a perfect platform for new start-up companies in the domain to showcase their innovations.

The expo brought together India’s waste management, recycling and sanitation fraternity under one roof to showcase their products, technologies and innovations before a highly influential business community. It was an ideal platform for this industry to congregate and discuss industry trends, challenges and market insights, and provided in-depth solutions, that help in proliferating their business
